Leave my nephew alone schmuck!

So last night I went out, where I live it's snowing so I decided to head into town last night.
And i also got presents for my nephew, I got invited to his birthday party, I love him so much, he's so funny and he's autistic too, no one but us truly understands, were a lot alike, especially our attitudes, he rolls his eyes like me, scoffs like me, it's kind of scary sometimes 馃ぃanyways my babs been yammering on about wanting to play chess, he loves board games and reading (also me) and I went out and got him one, I told his mum jokingly make sure no one else gets him because I remembered and now her boyfriend who's new on the scene got him one too!
DISASTER! And he can't return it and it's probably better than my board! But I'm outraged, he's my nephew! When he goes on and on about things I will do it, it's my nephew, I'm like who is this guy? Why is my nephew opening up to him about things he knows aunty's gonna get him? what else is he telling this man and how dare he, I don't have much money and spent what I could on him, I just hope my nephew actually appreciates MY GIFT.lucky I got him a book as well, diary of a wimpy kid, I know he'll love that it's a CLASSIC.
Seems like we both got him chess on the exact same day too! But I'm so annoyed 馃檮

Aww sorry the gift you got isn't going to be what you'd hoped for. 馃 Can you change yours? Wondered if you'd ever tried decision making books for your nephew? Ones where you can create your own version of the story? My son is autistic too and he loves them. They are kind of like a game and they help executive functioning skills which can be a difficulty for those with ASD. If not, maybe a thought for future birthday or Christmas gifts. 鉂わ笍

@Patientlywaiting that's actually a good idea and no unfortunately I fought a great battle with crowds and all sorts for that gift, why should I go through the measure of going through that when it's my gift to my nephew!
Like your the step dad in training know your place, less is more, but whatever at least he got people that care about him馃挏and I will actually get him the creating story one, for future reference thanks.
Get him a book on chess stategies. Opening moves etc.
