A family story
When something remarkable happened, Dad would trot out this story.
Before I existed, Dad and Mom and Mom's mother made a trip to the Atlantic Ocean.
"Your Grandmother was about 20 feet from shore when a wave hit her harder than she expected and knocked her false teeth out of her mouth. She yelled "My TEEF!"
"I was right at the water's edge and glanced down and a few seconds later her teeth washed up at my feet.
"Amazing."
