Am I wrong for turning my back on partners family

Long story short, had a big holiday with my partner and his family. Things got heated on the last night and when my partner retaliated his own father squared up to him as if he was going to hit him. We left that night and was called the bad ones and that we should apologies. When we called this out and mentioned there was no apology from the father we was told we was lying and he never squared up to him.

I just cba with the drama, I don’t want any future children of ours in that hostile environment at all.

Well things happen you cannot turn on them after one interaction. What does your partner think?

Is your partner going to turn his back on them too? Otherwise it's going to be difficult.

Partner or husband?

I don't know if I would turn my back on them completely but I would keep them at arms length unless they learn to respect you.
You and your boyfriend must be on the same page.
Don't have any kids with him unless you both decide what your values are with family and make sure that you agree.

Not if they are disrespectful.
