They shouldn't let me out

Breakfasted today with my daughter and family. Restaurant directly across the street, so I walked over.

It was great. Fun, conversation, excellent food. Sometimes I wonder if there's a secret ingredient - Tastes Better Than Yours - in every commercial kitchen.

When I arrived home I realized I'd worn a shoe from each of the grandma-grandchild sneakers I have. One bright white, one not.

It's the extra salt, oils and sugar ?? Usually when I cook i am trying more to be healthy than what they do when cooking for a restaurant..my guess

@being I think that's it exactly. Restaurant food will tend to be salted for maximum flavor rather than maximum health, and will usually have a generous amount of oil as well. They know what we have evolved to crave!

I ask a cook about the taste of his food compared to mine and others.. his response was he loves what he does and each meal should be able to be served to his mother with pride

I remember my great grandmother looking down at her feet at her 93rd birthday party and laughing.......her shoes were on the wrong feet. It is a wonder she noticed as she was legally blind, but she got a kick out of it, and the rest of us appreciated that she could.
