How would you feel about being the breadwinner?

Lets say your partner lost their job. Now you are the breadwinner and they also want you to pay their phone bill/ new clothes.

I feel like most people would be okay with this, but Eventually they will resent them and regret being with them in the first place if this goes on for too long.

If my salary could support the things we both needed, I don’t think I would have a problem financially supporting a partner. I think a problem will arise if I felt like I was contributing way more to our life than my partner was, but that includes a lot more than money, and also takes into consideration what we’re each able to do. I do want a partner that is considerate.
