Ever get your Dad a Father's Day gift that surprised you?

It was in the early 1970s and I was a freshman in university when I decided to surprise Dad with an album. I kind of wandered through the record store when I spied an LP with the title Straus's Greatest Hits. It looked as good as any other so I bought it. That Sunday I gave it to Dad and to my utter amazement he put it on the record player and listened to both sides. Mom came over to me and asked how I knew that Dad's favorite composer was Straus. I had no idea Dad even liked classical music. He was a farmer that liked to invent things. I thought he only liked country music. Boy was I wrong. RIP Dad. I still remember the rapt look on your face as you listened to the Blue Danube.
