What to do for Father's Day?

What do you do for a father you don't even particularly like? I mean I don't hate him. Its hard to explain how I feel. The man is broken since his divorce and all his thought dwells on it. He's very hard to please, doesn't seem to care about anything and still an insufferable bastard. He's one of the few people in the world that really gets under my skin without even trying. Still though I have respect for him for all he has done for our family, I acknowledge all the sacrifice he has made.

I no longer have one. I myself forget the day. It's a hallmark calendar mostly for most people now. For those who have one, who they don't know how to deal with, as I did know how to deal with mine, I don't know?

@SW-User yah. birthdays, holidays, even xmas doesn't really mean much anymore in my family. Man I miss it. I miss getting excited about holidays. Can't tell you how many bdays we've missed. All we really do is go out to eat usually

@JestAJester I imagine that can be changed. I feel the same in a way. But I'm on vacation right now, had a little time at the cottage, and my sister in law asked my mom, why doesn't he stay one more day? Very sweet of her. For me, some while I love family I think have let some meaning go away, and I had to get back for my cats. So its how we see and perspective?
