Couldn’t Be Prouder

Last Saturday, I attended the high school commencement ceremony for my youngest nephew, who graduated with honors.

And Friday (yesterday), I attended the college commencement ceremony for the same nephew, who received a diploma for earning an A.A. (two-year) college degree. He was able to accomplish this at the same time he completed his high school coursework through a program called Running Start.

I and other family members couldn’t be prouder of him. What he was able to do would have been a great accomplishment in normal times, but to do so during a pandemic, with its attendant hardships, makes it especially impressive.

Congratulations to my nephew and all 2022 high school and college graduates. Wishing them much happiness and success throughout their lives.

@Rutterman That's fantastic, i think very hard working and smart kid, as this is just a lot of work. I have no idea how he could have accomplished it . What did he take in the college?
Rutterman · 46-50, M

@Rutterman hes the type of young adult that we need for the future. We could feel confident with others such as him. What field is he wanting to go into?? 😀

@SW-User Absolutely. Totally agree.

His A.A. degree is in Engineering & Technology. I'm not sure exactly what his focus will be when he continues his studies this fall.

@Vivaci There were many of us there for him at both graduation ceremonies. I consider myself the lucky one.

I was initially separated from the others at his high school graduation and was sitting in the area where the opening procession took place. We spotted each other as he was about to walk by and I gave him a thumbs-up. He stopped, got out of line, and gave me a big hug before continuing on. 🤗 😊

🕺💃 🎶 💖
