Sounds like a Chinese mom more than anything else. 😆

@CrazyMusicLover It isn't common over there?
If it's not European it's definitely an Italian or Spanish thing for sure 😅😅

@Elessar We've known a term "Italian upbringing" since our childhood. Basically it's being hit on the top of the head with a closed fist. 😅 The origin came from one afternoon in Croatia or Greece when we were sitting on the beach and an Italian family sat next to us. Kids were arguing loudly so the father came and each of them got one bang.
The only one I saw throwing a slipper was my brother at his girlfriend and quite effectively hit her eye. 😬 If this was me he would have flown out of the window.

@CrazyMusicLover Yeah there are some "traditions" in the upbringing of kids that are borderline abusive tbh.
I hope she hit him back 😅

@Elessar She just yelled at him and closed herself in the room, then in a while everything was okay, seemingly. Fascinating.

@CrazyMusicLover I thought it was by accident/joke, maybe lightly thrown as well, not with the intention to hit her for real 😐

@Elessar It was on an impulse and then he laughed at it. 😐 He said he thought he had thrown it just lightly and not in the wildest dream he would have expected it to hit her head. Anyway, it was a pretty heavy slipper.
