Were you happy to have siblings?

I was almost 16 when my sister was born. I was so used to being an only child that I was PISSED when my mom had my sister. I think our age gap made it hard for us to connect, no 16 year old is really interested in an infant and as I got older, I lacked interest in toddlers. But I would say around 7 I started viewing her as a person, that may sound harsh.

I did sing to calm her as an infant, she loved itsy bitsy spider and I’ve always loved her. I just felt disconnected, and only started building a real human connection at 7. That’s when I learned she was pretty cool. She turns 10 this year.
Wow that's a huge age gap. My sister is 7 years younger than me which I felt was a lot. Honestly we didn't really connect until she was in her 20's and now we're really close.

I think we all express differently. I am the youngest my sis is 1.5 yrs older than me. Due to my upbringing I don't express myself when am ecstatic! Externally and internally am all normal.

Now that we're older, sure.

But having a sister only 10 months younger than you can be a pain in the ass when you're a kid.
I have twin brothers who are 12 years older than me that I can’t stand. A sister of 8 years older I’m very close to.
