Why is it so difficult

To love the kids YOU CHOSE to bring into this world?

You did not have to be rich, you did not have to be the most amazing human that ever lived. All you had to do was show up. Love, hug and ask about my day, how I was coping, advise and teach me. But that was too much for you. Apparently handling multiple woman outside of your marriage was easier for you than taking care of the family you chose to make. I want to hate you but I can't. But I cannot show you any affection either. I'm sorry. 馃様

My mama was a beautiful and accomplished young lady but my dad couldn't stop staring at every other woman's breasts in the most explicit and disgusting ways, and brought curse upon our family and broke us all apart. The mofo couldn't fcking control his eyes. My dad has gold medals and high IQ etc etc but to me he's still a stupid man who failed to love his wife because he had other women. Thankless stupid mofo.

Maybe he didn't chose to make a family.. I'm sorry your father was a disappointment to you and emotionally unsupportive and absent.. but there are actually worse fathers.. fathers who stick around and are abusive and controlling.. 馃槓

@SStarfish I believe internal scars can be just as damaging but maybe I'll share my physical scars, including the self inflicted ones at the age of 14 too one day. Maybe I'll be more deserving of an emotional rant then.

@swirlie He needs me now that he is ill. That's why I'm so caught up in this mess. I can't give him that which he wants, which is a son, and I want to be his son but I've got more rage than love for him

@swirlie I get you. He does not need nor want a son. I'm just projecting my desire to be wanted by him but, he's made it clear he never wanted a son. At least not me as a son.
