Shouldn't all kids get to ride the bus?

In this day if all the dangers of child abduction...why are any children walking to school? I pay taxes the same as the parents living 2 miles away. Some of these really cold days are too cold to walk even 3 blocks. What are your thoughts?

Ironically, kids are safer today than they were in the past. The reason people think their kids are in constant danger of abduction is because the media publicizes every case. Even with that, it’s only a big deal if a white kid disappears. We rarely hear about all the Black and Native American kids that go missing.
