How do I get my dad to leave?

I asked my dad to help me move and we went on this road trip to my new living place and he’s still planning on staying here for a whole week. I love my dad but he’s starting to annoy me. All he talks about is politics and he won’t leave me alone. Any time I try to go somewhere to have some alone time because I don’t have a private space in our hotel room, he insists on coming along. Plus I’ll be starting a full time job so it’s not like he’s really going to see me anyway.

My dad talks too much politics as well :( I haven't found a good solution, other than trying to the best of your ability, point out, you can only handle so much political talk, and you have reached your limits.

As far as the, he wants to go with you every where, while y'all are staying in a hotel, that makes a ton of sense, as he's probably bored in the hotel room and just wants to get out!

How is the weather? Can y'all go somewhere with a nice view and talk about nature? Walk along a steam or river, get a nice view.

As far as staying the week, either he isn't in no hurry to go back where he came from, or what is up with that? Or maybe just wants to make sure you have no other issues?

He should get very bored very fast if you are working that time.

@Viper he also wants to have my car while I’m at work but I have had to get his attention several times since we got here cause he was too busy looking at cows or the mountains to notice his lane was ending or that the light in front of us had turned red. Plus I’m the one who needs it to get to and from work. And it’s my car.
