How do I get my dad to leave?

I asked my dad to help me move and we went on this road trip to my new living place and he’s still planning on staying here for a whole week. I love my dad but he’s starting to annoy me. All he talks about is politics and he won’t leave me alone. Any time I try to go somewhere to have some alone time because I don’t have a private space in our hotel room, he insists on coming along. Plus I’ll be starting a full time job so it’s not like he’s really going to see me anyway.

Lmao I relate to this sm and I only see him twice a year. Honestly just relax ,you know he will leave and you know you will be spending time not seeing him while he is there anyway

@PepsiColaP yeah that’ll just send him on a rant about the other political party and how much he hates them. That’s the thing I can swing both ways politically but what I can’t stand is people who spend their time hating on the people who don’t agree with what they think. You’re not going to accomplish anything by doing that except make your friends and loved ones not want to hang out with you very much

@subshelby that's sad ,I would think he would at least maybe respect your emotions and make an effort to refrain from that . Honestly I would give him an ultimatum at this point ,maybe that will motivate him to reflect

@PepsiColaP he also went and complained about the kids running around upstairs and is making me switch hotel rooms next morning EVEN THOUGH I START A JOB AT 8 IN THE MORNING. like one. Have you ever lived in an apartment, cause that’s just stuff you have to deal with. 2. I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS.

@PepsiColaP he is indeed a boomer. He also was very happy when it was announced AOC tested positive for covid and I’m like your life is sad if you find joy in someone getting covid nobody should want something like that on anyone
