Welcome Bambina!
Been a bit of a rubbish year for one and all, I'd hazard a guess.
Certainly been 'a year' for me. Quite a shock, let me tell you, getting pregnant again this year, especially after being, for want of a better term, 'sorted out' so I wouldn't again.
But things happen...and, I guess, happen for a reason.
So, I found myself pregnant. Myself and my hubby were in a wee bit of a shock, but we quickly got over it, and with our other 4 girls, family and friends, we got ourselves geared up for another bouncing baby.
Worries about vaccines and stuff have not helped (I was doubly jabbed but not had the booster because of being pregnant at the time) and feeling more fatigued - and some sickness throughout - have made this a difficult gestation this time around..
But, rushed into hospital in the evening of Wednesday (Mark's driving was pure Formula 1..) and, some 4 hours later, 1:02 of the 16th December, Amidala Duponte was born. Beautiful girl. Beautiful flower in Italian (I have an Italian dad) and, at 7lb 4oz, a fair decent size too - mind you, she felt like 20 Stone carrying her around!
Few days in hospital, readjusting, and home yesterday, coincided with mum's visit (which was delightful!) and back in the bosom of my family again.
Feel tired...feel drained....the girls have been wonderful and helpful....Mark's been great...Ami (which, I guess, will be her shortened name) has slept fairly well, just a few diva moments....but all early days.
I thought that'd announce her official birth here, now...whilst I have the time....and Mark is perusing the internet looking for people carrier's that can take 5 kids and 2 adults!
Thank you one and all for your nice messages, mum (@SammyJo) for announcing it for us.
A lovely early Xmas present!
😀
