Today I embaressed my parents in public and they are angry at me. What could I do to make them happy?

@Fluffybull My brother left today and I'm not very good at handling my emotions, so I had a meltdown. I don't mean to. The anxiety builds and becomes uncontrollable.
They yelled at me and now they are mad.

@Manfredthemanic They are in the wrong for yelling at you IMO. If it was an anxiety/panic attack you had no control over it and they should have handled it better. ❤️

@Manfredthemanic Exactly. Shouting at someone who is upset and scared is stupid. Would you shout at a scared animal?

@Fluffybull No! I would sit with him until he trusted me enough to pat or pick him up. 😊

@Manfredthemanic Then I think that's what a parent should do, hold their child until they are calm then talk quietly about what they're feeling.

@Fluffybull That's what Pieter does. He hugs me and then talks to me, and I don't have to ask for the hug.

@Manfredthemanic He's a good person. He could teach people who are much older than he is a lot of things about how to deal with people. 👏👏❤️
