What would you think if You Overheard....

Your husband telling your son to never date any fat girls.

This is a hypothetical based on a conversation with someone who told me that he will definitely do this to his son and that I am only thinking that its bad because I am a woman.

Well im fat so that wouldnt happen lol anyway i think its weird and perverted to try to mold your childs preferences in that way

@DarlingSelah I'm only playing devil's advocate when I ask is it really that odd to try and mold your child's preferences when virtually everyone does it in some way

@REMsleep A responsible parent might warn their child away from [b]behavioral[/b] red flags that suggest a partner might be hiding a deceptive or abusive nature, but to mold their [b]physical[/b] preferences is rather invasive. To use another example, a woman telling her daughter not to date [b]short[/b] men. What does his height have to do with him being a good man ?

@bijouxbroussard Yes, its true but lots of women instruct their daughter to admire tall guys. They usually don't tell them who not to date based on physical features but they do promote certain feature both men and women do this. And don't worry I think that how he feels about this is awful and disappointing so I am not standing up for him but I am objectively wondering if its really worse than what most people do really as he says.
