The Clothing Dryer

My mother was doing laundry. She noticed that ink was on clothing and took them out thinking the pen was in the load. She does another load and realizes more ink on clothing. My dad found the pen that exploded. Tried mr clean magic eraser and nail polish remover. Still the ink wont come out of dryer. She is very upset and sad that we need to get a new dryer. Right now there is a shortage due to covid. I keep letting her things happen and thing will be alright.☹

Google Ink Removal, Ink Solvents, etc.

IF your Dad found the Ink pen, then you should be able to figure out what will irradicate it!
A Good Drycleaner could remove the Ink from the clothing and tell you a method to clean the Ink from the Dryer.

My suggestion, put 3 to 5 Old WET Soapy Towels or Old Blue Jeans inside the Dryer and Tumble on No Heat for an Hour or more! then pull out those towels/jeans, Wash them of the Detergent and put them back in WET on Medium heat till they Dry!
The WET Towels/Jeans bouncing around for a long time will wipe the Drum Clean!

Another Choice, Use 409 Cleaner and stick your head & arms in there wiping every surface clean! Breathe outside often!

Another Choice, Newspaper, Facebook Marketplace, etc and Buy an Old USED WORKING DRYER!
All those new fancy-assed Dryers (& Washers) with 16 Features and LED Displays and Touch Panels Do Not Dray ANY BETTER than a Dryer from 1957!

@Valerian it really on there. Looks like buying a new is only option

@GreenNatured95 Okay, but I'm sure there's a solvent to wipe off the drum surface. Likely WD-40, 70%+ Alcohol, Mineral Oil, Kerosene, a Certain Cleaner ....
All Much Cheaper and Faster! A Appliance Repairman has seen this Before and will likely tell you how!

But sh¡t just go ahead, Give Up, and BUY a $600 to $1000 Model and keep Mommy Happy! THROW the money for Ten $60 Meals, or a short vacation at an appliance!

Google "Removing Ink from a Dryer" tried this?

@Valerian I did google alot of the solutions involved flammable material dont want to use that incase something else happens. Bought goofy so far only a little bit came off.

Well, honestly, think about this, if Goof-Off and all the other things didn't work,
THEN that stuff isn't Coming Off Anymore!
THEN it won't be getting on any Clothes!

Right now it's probably just a Stain!
Try some older towels and old clothes no one wears and see what happens.

Dryers are Expensive! $350 to $900!!!! Don't but a new one until that one DIES!

Run those old clothes through it 10 times!
Anything left to come off will probably do so!
Anything left probably isn't going anywhere!

Good Luck Kiddo!
