Keeping the peace - Large family, cooler weather

As the days get cooler - and what a miserable August it's been in the southern UK - I am again reminded of how our large family can get under each other's feet, and the reason why we have rules and sanctions as the only way to keep peace and discipline. So much easier when we can send them out into the garden to play, or out to the farm to help their father with his work
