A true dad

Although he isn't my dad I have always seen him as my dad. He is my uncle. That man helped me grow up, he is the parent I never had. He is my best friend. Those who know me, know I care more about other people's feelings over mine. Today while at work I tear up because I want to do something special for my uncle. He has been the one to lift me up when I was down. He is the real version of uncle Phil from fresh prince. He has been there since the beginning. He took me in when I was kicked out of my house at 12. He has shown me that hard work pays off. He's shown me the value of family. He means a lot to me. Honestly I feel like he's my guardian angel. He's always tried to help me and push me to become better. Well it's not that I don't love him or anything. Just when I want to tell him how much he means to me and want to tell him I love him. I get overwhelmed and I get knot in my throat and my eyes start to tear up so I stop. And I really want to tell him and show him how much he means to me. I want to tell him he's like a dad to me and I love him. Since I have hard time telling him. I want to do something special to let him know that he's not only like my dad but my best friend. And one day I hope to be able to be like him and make him proud. I just want to do something special for him.
