I just had a very messed up dream, antifa rioted the small in the middle of nowhere town I live in during Trump's inaugeration...

I had been saying for the past few years I have been seeing more and more california and upper east coast plates on vehicles on the roads since the plandemic started, and in this election cycle I noticed a massive number of Harris/Walz yard signs in ratio to not many Trump/Vance signs in ratio, specially in my neighborhood area. Well in my dream, they were deliberate transplants sent by the establishment in the attempts to make very red iowa into a blue iowa. Well in my dream there were at least 1,000 rioters spread out in this smallish city of not even 30,000 according to the 2020 census, from the downtown area, to both sides of the nearly three miles of shopping, as well as in various neighborhoods. But because this is iowa, sense of community protection is very strong, those who could, both men and women, as well as high school athletes, specially those who play football were going hand to hand with them, as well as firefights with firearms were happening. As for myself in the dream, as one of seven firearms owners we were deputized by the county Sheriff and were asked to go to the roof to protect our building while the rest of the residents were sent to the second story hallway, our building is between a small shopping center that sitsbon the main old highway out of town and a residential area that had a lot of Harris/Walz yard signs, as soon as I heard angry voices coming our way I woke up, my phone was ringing, a wrong number, in the middle of the night 🙄

rednecks around here probably have wet dreams about powersliding through groups of antifa/stop oil protesters in their trucks while blasting "Freebird" on their radios... 🤔
@wildbill83 The same where I live. There's an armed security officers at a grocery store that has a pharmacy, he doesn't use a standard duty belt with a sidearm, an extra mag holder, and cuffs, he wears a full combat duty vest.

@NativePortlander1970 duty belts aren't very comfortable to move in; I worked a few security gigs here and there after I got out of service; I usually wore a cross draw tac vest
@wildbill83 I have to admit my own duty belt was a bit stiff and too wide IMHO that dug into me when I sat down, and those belt clips? Ugh.

@NativePortlander1970 standard hip holsters just aren't very comfortable (nor secure) for all day wearing, no matter how wide belt is. Even with a kore belt/tactical belt, I still have to wear suspenders to belt carry; especially with heavier frame guns like 1911.

Serpa retention holster is the most comfortable hip holster I've ever used (we used them in Army as well), of course, cops don't like them because they're more inclined to shoot themselves with retention holsters; but overall, I still prefer a drop leg holster
@wildbill83 I had a Class III retention when I was doing armed security in Las Vegas, no one but the wearer can draw their sidearm with one, it cost $225 for my second generation Taurus PT92 9mm.
