I Have Very Vivid Dreams
So this was by far one of the most vivid and detailed I ever had, so much that its kind of disturbing. Curious to hear comments...and I didn't know dreams could continue after you've woken up? I had to have woken 10 + times last night, but the dream had to have continued. It was like the basic plot of a novel getting set up in the first one, and then it continued into extremely detailed subplots with my subsequent dreams after I begun waking up.
So the basic plot was I was in this school/military academy. My fellow cadets and drill instructors/teachers were all very vibrant personalities, some from my life, others seemingly created by my mind. I remember an air of seriousness, as discussions were abound about a very bloody urban sectarian war going on somewhere that we were to be deployed in. Yet at the same time it had a airy, teenage high school feel to it. I remember this one girl talking so innocently beside me during mess one time and it's just like..are you really prepared to kill? To see death? It's like Vietnam or some shit..kids getting shipped out before they're ready. Anyways, like with any good novel, characters and plot were established in the first dream that continued on in the others. And the setting..amazingly detailed and consistent. Like nothing I've ever seen, truly.
Anyways, the subplots is where it gets weird. There were so many with such detail it couldn't have happened in one sitting, impossible with the way I was waking up. One dealt almost solely with me and an instructor, (quite a character, think Hartman from full metal jacket yet nicer) about if I was ready for war. I thought I was, others thought I was, it was really just me trying to convince him. In another me and a group of cadates raided his room and began to pick his safes (ending up getting lost). The scope was just insane...the details of these dreams made them continue on and on...I remember more than one mess hall scene, classroom scenes, numerous ones of us in this big auditorium. Fluid conversations, feelings, more subplot/dreams...hell I woke up ready to go to war, consequences be damned. It's just absolutely amazing that our mind can construct these things and flys are still buzzing around on pure impulse. Any thoughts? Probably should never join the army is the take-away haha
