TIL ~ Some foods are basically immortal.

Salt, honey, garlic, sugar, white rice, and dried beans can last almost 'forever' if stored right. Archaeologists even found edible honey in Egyptian tombs after thousands of years.

But Parmesan cheese is the overachiever, while other cheeses age gracefully, Parmesan gets harder, crunchier, and somehow more expensive every year. It doesn't just last forever, it actively improves!? So that container from 2003 in your fridge...
Probably a vintage by now!😋

Modern Parm is shit though in the US. Turns green does not age gracefully ages like aunt Edna from christmas vacation
