I had my lawyer file for divorce today. When she asked me about where my kids will be during which holiday, I lost it. I hate doing this to my children..

But I know in the end we all will come out stronger than we knew we could be and find what is next in our lives.

It's just rough getting there..

Well believe it or not this will be better for your kids. How old are the kids in some states they have rights too. Just remember to keep your kids out of the divorce and what I mean by that is you and your ex are getting the divorce not the kids do not use the kids in this fight it not fear and they will get back at the party that is using them to get even with the other.Make your you get your own bank account get your name off of anything you have jointly if you have life insurance make a new will making the kids the benefactor because if you do not change it your ex would be getting it. put passwords on your accounts. If you are staying in the house have all the locks changed if the locks are expensive just call a locksmith and have the keys changed if you have an alarm system change the codes and take his name off the emergency list. If you do not will he can still have access to the alarm which he should not depending on custody you may have to notify schools to let them know who can pick up your kids.
