how i respond to the times when i get no 'validation'

like others, i sometimes seek validation for what i think, ie- someone posting ' i agree' in response to my comments, but there are many times online i don't get that, i get no responses, especially on youtube...yet i see another person get tons of...

I think the first mistake is seeking validation.

Just keep trying ,if you want to be noticed .
There is no hard n fast rule for social validation.The only constant is to not to give up .Sooner or later ppl will observe.
