As I get older I am facing the law of diminishing returns. My wife is in care, so I live alone. I started with one minor procedure to be done, then the idea that having a cataract attended to would make me independent. But so far that procedure has been postponed twice due to unrelated matters that have hospitalised me for a week and have me on IV antibiotics that have sandblasted my insides. All while still waiting for this procedure. Diminishing returns. The more I try to get ahead, the less progress I make. Just getting old I guess..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Aging is a condition that some of us deal better with than others. I am constantly reviewing how I am going to manage living on my own as various age-related conditions inevitably creep up on the ones I already have. Having friends and a purpose for getting up each day is very important. I don't like letting people down, so if there is something in the diary I have promised to do, unless I'm completely 'out of it' I do as I've said.
