If someone tells you that you will not go anywhere for 5 years, just stay in your room or home. So will you be able to live alone?

Don't say - it can't be possible... It's depend upto you.. that how you handle the worst to worst situation... This show that how you are strong.. by mentally and as well as physically too.. Soo.... What will be your answer?

Kinda how I'm living now but the freedom to leave is optional and obviously I have to go to work/uni at various times. Out of personal choice I hardly go out and about. It's winter and I really can cope with the cold.

@Peppa may be... But to survive you have to fight... My point is if you say that "I can't" then you never.... If you'll find options... Which is useless in this situation... Then it will be very hard for you to survive.... Better that accept your situation and fight back with your mind...
