Ever experienced this?

More attention/affection/desire from other men/women than your own partner and you wonder why? Why is my partner not as crazy as others around you are?

It's that old line about ...

"Familiarity breeds contempt". Maybe the "contempt" word is too strong but ....

"Familiarity breeds ---------" (fill in the blank)

Take away the familiarity and you may be looked upon as an idol :)

It happens in most of the marriage

One partner always craves for love, time, companionship, even small talks or little walks

Having breakfast together

But the other person never understands

Yes! My only theory is the fantasy aspect keeps it alive. Our partners have already experienced us so its reality for them. I do agree though, noticed it with married guys.
long termmarriage, makes partners like friends, hard to get affectionate,i think marriages should be law only be 20 years long, then oyur forced to marry somebody else,

People want what they don't have. The thrill of the hunt, of mystery, the unknown.
Once you possess it, that allure is gone.

Yes. The newness has worn off with our partner and we like to be appreciated and give back.
