KC has been going down hill for a long time.
And they are going through the same route as Winchell's donuts.
Winchell's was bought out by Denny's corp. BTW
You'll be hard pressed to find a Winchell's donuts anywhere in the nation now.

Krispy Kreme sold their soul.

@MayorOfCrushtown when Krispy Kreme starting building restaurants in the OKC metro area they put one in my city next to the interstate highway. It didn’t last long, a few years and they closed. Put a few donut places out of business before that happened. And now more locally-owed donut shops have opened. They had an unfair advantage from the beginning. Got so much free publicity from the media embedding “news” stories in their news shows mentioning Krispy Kreme. It turned my stomach and I refused to go to their stores and buy even one donut.

@cherokeepatti they are pretty huge here bein founded in Winston Salem. I love the doughnuts but their business strategy sucks. There are some mom and pop stores around here that are better.
