how to deal with people who try to invalidate your experiences

online? when you write things about yourself, who you are, the experiences you've had etc then you get some DULLARD who takes it upon themselves to invalidate what you wrote and make out that what you wrote is invalid and not true?

how dare they? someone did that to my post recently, some stranger who i don't know...and i thought '' who are you?, do i know you? no i don't, you don't know what i've experienced or who i am, so sod off and screw you''.

but in all seriousness , how should you deal with situations like that?
I quit talking to them.
someone who invalidates what I'm going through by explaining it away, reminding me that i'm just a silly girl making a mountain out of a pebble.
What use are they trying to fit my life into theirs. I wasn't looking to be part of their life, I was merely sharing my own.
Sometimes, what I see, is that I'm talking to someone who is guilty of doing to their family exactly what I'm upset about and they are indirectly making excuses for themselves. They make it about them.

@nonsensiclesnail and you did here what you wrote about, made it all about you, when this was about ME.

I’m not sure. I think it’s interesting when people ask questions, but then get pissy when your input isn’t an echo chamber of what they want hear.

If my post isn’t in a question format and they offer up a negative opinion because.. I don’t know. they like to hear themselves talk, I usually just give them the brush off.

That happened to me once- I ended up deleting their comments and blocking them as they tried to argue the point with me. They were telling me i was things i was not no matter how many times i told them i wasnt. Like they knew me better than i knew myself. Total rubbish you dont need to put up with that sh**.
