I Did Something I Regret

I decided to be woman enough to tell the guy I was seeing that I dislike our limited interaction and me constantly reaching out to him (long story short). His reply is that I think we should just be friends. Puzzled and confused, I told him I thought we were always just friends who happened to become intimate with one another every so often. Now he says we should keep it strictly platonic. Great. I really screwed things up this time. I hate going through the whole getting to know someone thing to see if they're worthy of my body. Why couldn't courting be easier and less dramatic?! Hate wasting my time.
