Do you have at least one regret from this lifetime?

I would have loved to have been a dad. It would have been great to take a son on the same adventures my dad took me. I also would have taught him the kind of compassion and the willingness to spend time and energy rescuing abandoned cats very late at night. (At one time, he had 12 cats in his downstairs bedroom.)

Dad taught me to reach out and hug a poor derelict wino one moment, and a wealthy "movie star" in the next. (He had a store in the famous movie colony of Palm Springs.) Dad loved telling corny jokes and making people laugh.)

Even just months before he died he continued hiking the wilderness areas of our local National Park (Joshua Tree) He knew the park better than the rangers did and other than his cancer was probably in better physical shape than the rangers.

I miss you dad. RIP!

I do ..my newly graduated nephew died because of my ignorance back in 2010.. I threw him in the fast lane with drugs and alcohol and one day he just didn’t wake up.. hardest part was looking his parents in the eyes that morning and saying “i’m sorry”
@SW-User Oh man! what a horrible tragedy to have endured. What immediately jumps to my mind is that he absolutely doesn't want you dwelling a lot on this accident. He wants you to have a quality life filled with happiness and many great experiences. He is in a great place and continues his spiritual evolution any emotional problems or trauma he may have endured are now gone.

It is likely you will eventually see him again and that will be a happy moment. In the meantime, it's important you seek to live life to the fullest, meet lives many challenges head on using good common sense and sound reasoning.

Be well, and especially, be happy it's important. He is hugging you.
