Another Regret

Punishing people who did me no wrong for crimes of people who came before them. Just because one person betrayed me, lied to me, harmed me does not mean everyone will. Don't punish someone for something someone else did.

The sad thing is that since it happened once, you will keep expecting it. And such bad faith will feed confirmation bias and eventually you get locked in an illusion that everyone wants to hurt you the same way

Yeah, that happens a lot and it's hard not to react that way. When you are hurt, it's human nature to want to protect oneself. Don't beat yourself up, you are human and like the rest of us, just trying to make it through this life.

It's good though that you recognize it ... trust once broken, it's hard to regain.

@SW-User Bingo! But, that requires honesty and trust from both. Not always a combination easy to find... communication too, to not let the small things build. In the end it is rewarding and worth fighting for.

@SW-User I am sure I have, more that I have trust issues due to what has happened before

@SW-User I'm sure I have, and life is complicated, as when I hurt someone for that, it likely was somewhere from where she couldn't trust either.
