I Have Regrets

I only have one regret in life .I never found my daughter from my first marriage and now I am living on borrowed time and may never see her before I leave this earth .All I can hope is that she is happy and once I am gone never feels the need to find me only to realise she was too late .

Write a letter for her.

DNA tests like MyHeritage are very cheap now and while it does rely on her putting her DNA up, they're uniting a lot of families

I wonder if there are creative ways to track her down or advertise your willingness to have contact. Maybe through tracking down the mother, or one of the mothers relatives

That way you can be at peace that you tried absolutely everything

@SW-User I tried all that even posted up on facebook asking all my friends to ask their friends to ask anyone they knew even posted the only photo I have of her young and her age etc but had no joy .The only thing I can think of is she has never been told .

@SW-User You beat me to it. I was just getting ready to type up something similar. He could also start a blog and start writing letters to her daily. Use her full name and/or other key words so that if/when she goes looking she just might find a page totally dedicated to her. Some day she may come looking, and I know it would mean the world to me to find a page dedicated to my father, especially if there were stories explaining how much he always loved me and pictures of him through the years. He may night find her this side of heaven but I think you have the right idea on a productive way he could leave her a legacy.

@Fungirlmmm Alot of my facebook is dedicated to her .My daughter from my second marriage made my facebook page for me for her half sister should she ever find my page giving alot of info she may not know .

@Rhodesianman that is awesome. Make sure she has access to it. I hate to sound morbid but make sure your daughter knows to make it a legacy page and that you have a separate page with that information on it just in case facebook isn't around when she goes looking. Also since she has half siblings if she goes the route T mentioned she will find them if they are listed on the registries. You could leave her a trinket box with one of them as well.
