Calm and quiet. An absence of pressure and disorder..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman But loneliness is about pressure. A craving to spend time with someone else, not just alone.

@CrazyMusicLover Maybe for you. My pressure was always about my need to be responsible, fix the problems and stay ahead of the next one, whether for the family or at work.. Been there, done that bought the tee shirt. Washing the car with it.. All the pigs are fed and ready to fly and my work here is done. And there is now no one to tell me I cant go fishing or when to mow the lawn, (which my grandson does now)..I may do nothing tomorrow. I will decide when I get there..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman @CrazyMusicLover Perhaps semantics but I think this explains it well.
Solitude is the positive, chosen state of being alone for reflection, creativity, and rejuvenation, often referred to as the "richness of self". Conversely, loneliness is an unwanted, painful feeling of isolation, disconnection, or a lack of companionship, even when others are present.

@OlderSometimesWiser Well said. My solitude is enforced, but welcome after the turbulence of living with and managing dementia for years. The negative is the guilt and feeling this relief, and a measure of frustration in that due to having to deal with a backlog of minor health issues I couldnt get away to deal with before, I am now stuck in place until I can get them all behind me. Hopefully by mid year.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Complex emotions and situation for sure. Hope your health issues improve very soon and you’re free to live however you choose. 🙂
