I know about that feeling. I'm old now and my friends have either died or moved away. Or I moved away myself (illegally forced to move from my 32 year residence). I miss some of my friends who have died. No one could ever know me the way they did after decades; now they're gone. Making new friends at this time of life is hard.
Message me anytime. I am on and off here by day and night. I usually check my messages once every 24 hours. I can at least offer some online support and encouragement.

Isn’t this the truth. No one can know you like those who have shared your past. When they are gone, or not around much, new friendships can’t compare, if you are fortunate to even make any. [@green mountain gal].
