Not necessarily. I mean depression is something that you can't just snap out of. Some do it for attention, but others just can't help it. Posting it over and over again is a coping mechanism.. it is just venting for mose people and it can help. I stopped posting certain things because often times people would assume that I was attention seeking or happy that I felt sad. When you have nobody to talk to you have to let it out somehow otherwise you will drive yourself into the nut house. I am at one of the happiest places in my life right now yet I feel empty and sometimes lonely.I wouldn't say they or I want attention... they just want someone to really give a damn... to care and I feel wanting attention and wanting someone to care are two different things.

@butterfly1013 Thank you for sharing that. Just a question for you though. In all the times you felt in lonely and depressed.... Did you want that to change?

It has helped tremendously. @butterfly1013

@Hanging2 absolutely, I never want to stay in that state of mind. I hate it. It only gets comfortable not because someone likes to feel that way, but because you feel hopeless and helpless because no matter how hard you try things still seem to be the same. It's choosing to live with and accept that things may not change.

@butterfly1013 If I told you that there are people that want to live in their depression and have no impulse to change.
I have chatted with people and have reached out to support people that in deep depression.
I have been there too and know how that feels.
It soon becomes apparent what type of person they want to be.
No matter how good your intent is, some will never be saved.
I am so glad you made it through and well done. Learn form it and learn what makes you happy. Touch those happy things each day and you will never go back. That is what I do.
