If you continuously post I’m lonely, I’m depressed yet don’t make an effort to seek help. Does that mean some people like to dwell on being sad?

I know being depressed or lonely is not something you would wish on your own worse enemy. Why do people post the same thing day after day. Are they really lonely or just looking for attention.

Well it is fairly self indulgent and unattractive

I personally believe they're often lonely but lack the social skills for an interaction beyond the one where they complain and other people offer a nodding acknowledgement to their posts
I guess it’s hard unless one is on that situation. Sometime I login and see some users post questions after questions about being lonely. I’m isually puzzled. @SW-User

@Grassisnotgreenerontheothersid I feel a bit exhausted when I read positive response after positive response and it's made no difference

I think -" Maybe if you asked how somebody else is for a change - you'd actually feel better."

I don't mean this harshly

I think sometimes in our empathy we enable and reward misery
I just flick pass these type of posts. It’s like the same thing day after day. @SW-User

@SW-User Only if our empathy does not contain a harsh dose of reality.
