how do i cope with living alone

i live alone, lived alone 18 years now and i get very bored at times but at night also 'lonely' and feeling 'isolated'......i feel insecure a lot too...my only support system now are my elderly parents who live far away from me.

does anyone live alone and has any advice on how to handle those times when you feel alone, isolated, lonely, insecure etc?

Having a pet helps 🙂 My dog gets me out the house (work aside). Maybe some hobbies ect

If I'm not at work I'm playing a game or walking the dog time goes pretty quick then
