In a moment of ignorance, I made a small innuendo toward a co-worker, among a group of friends during a work break. I've no idea why I made it, but I had, and I let it ride.
After the work break, as we were going back out on to the floor to our jobs, she approached me, very calmy, and looking completely in to my eyes she said....[my name here]....be yourself. She looked at me for a moment more, then turned away and went over to her place of work.
It hit me like a sledge. I've never forgotten it.....nor her.

Wow. Those lines… they’re powerful in its simplicity.

What was the first thing that crossed your mind when she said it?

@CookieCrumbs That she saw something in me that I had not seen in myself, and that perhaps she looked at me differently than the other people on the floor. That and the fact that I had sort of let her down in a careless moment. I never did that again.
Those are truly teachable moments.
