Sometimes one must be a bit mean in order to do positivity to others.
There is someone where I work who's always eager to portray themselves as something which they are the opposite of.
I mean she is very concerned with her looks but unfortunately she is the reverse of glamorous, desirable and enticing.
The rest of the office treat her as an obstacle to deal with, not due to her size or shape I mean, but due to how she is always incessantly talking about getting into clubs, how men are always hassling her for sex (they are not, you would need to be sedated and in a wet suit to find her desirable),
Anyway, deep down I suspect she is very depressed because she must know (deep down) it is laughable at her view of herself.
But I do believe she is her own enemy because she does eat and eat and eat. Just hearing the I noise that all the junk food packaging makes the whole office irrate. Also she is very uncouth when she eats.
Anyway, a dear colleague who has just retired has had a wee little party yesterday and there was some very exquisite cake.
The annoying aesthetically challanged girl was not there so we saved her some cake.
However, this morning, when I saw the cake that was left for her, it suddenly occurred to me that letting the fat girl eat it would be the same as giving an alcoholic drink to an alcoholic.
So I decided to sabotage the cake. There is currently really hot weather where I am and I was able to place the cake somewhere where it would easily get knocked to the ground by a co worker and the whole thing seemed an accident.
She seemed despondent at first (disproportionately so), but I did the right thing because usually by this time of the day she is either hyper from a sugar rush or depressed from a sugar crash but currently, she seems normal and not annoying at all. And I think I (without her knowing) have improved her day because she knows she'll be a tiny bit slimmer tomorrow.
So the saying is true = sometimes one must be cruel in order to be kind. Sometimes.
