Never Ignore Boat Safety !!

Please Forever keep this in mind
When pleasure boating
Be it on lake..river..ocean where ever

All children should wear life vests
Keep wackyness to a Minimum
Never Ignore Safety

Today..just a couple hours ago
2 people...a lady of 50 years old
And Very Sadly a boy of 7 years old
Drowned on an over loaded boat..one designed for regular lakes
Yet was on the Mighty Hudson river
2 others in cridical condition and another 8 in varying degrees of serious condition and hospitalised

Just for a fun trip in the water
No one were wearing life vests ( the child should have been at veru least )
I got pulled away as we were chatting earlier
Wondering why 5 helicopers fron ny state and nyc police were searching the waters

A Very Sad day
The small boat capsised..
Likely ran to quick into a wave that flipped it

Please
You and whoever you with in the years to come
Never Ignore BOAT SAFETY and COMMON SENSE

BTW i am taking time out on New Years eve
( Because it is Important)

It was about 1 am during the sweltering summer months
my summer home didnt have AC
apparently neither did my friends house

he came a knocking .. saying
hey you want to go Tubing .. his gf can be the spotter

umm 95 degrees outside )likely was hotter inside..lol )
one of those 90%+ humidity days (ok nights)

ok...Sure i figured

no moon light..a rural lake (upper greenwood lake)
well i held the rope wrong
my friend turned sharply...running over our own wake

my wrists got all rapped up
i nearly drowned
saw the fog as i rose over my body

finally aLL WORKED OUT
i can now tell the taLE

BE CAREFUL WHEN BOATING

HAPPY and HEALTHY NEW YEAR
TO ALL and their FAMILY

Down by Pier 13R or walking near there

Unfortunately common sense doesn’t exist in a large majority of people anymore
