Interesting costume saved lives

This bird like costume actually saved lives, I thought it was made up to be unique and strange, but they supposedly actually made it for a purpose and it worked (though not how they thought it worked).

I'm saying the the plague doctors were were indeed protected, but the reasons they thought they were protected were wrong.

That’s really interesting. I remember seeing old paintings and wondering what the bird beaks were designed to do.
