I Believe Life Is a Life Long Lesson

What would it take for our world to produce another diplomat like Michael Gorbachev?

I think there's a lot of people with talent already, but they're not in power or they have no desire to pursue that role.
Gorbachev had the unfortunate legacy of also being his country's last leader. He was skilled at being cordial with the West, but he was unable to stop his own country from falling apart. And when it did, he found no help in the friends he made abroad.
@DDonde If he lived in your neighborhood would you personally feel badly for his fate?

@Stilltryinghard yeah, probably. I think he genuinely tried to do what was best for his country.

@HannahSky Thank you
@DDonde agreed.

I always loved him. But I have a way of siding with ethical underdogs.
