I Had A Strict Mother Growing Up

My mother favoured the hairbrush. My dad preferred the clothes brush or cane. Be said the hairbrush handle was too small for his hands!

I think he just preferred the clothes brush! My preference would be the cane and I would not be at all surprised if that was your Dad's choice too.
