i have lost a potential good friend on sw

i recently got chatting to a woman in the private messages on here, she seeemed a lovely person....but i did explain to ger that i had low self worth, were shy and find it difficult to chat to women online....she seemed understanding of that...she was my age range, i'm 47 now.......but i left it too long to reply to her last message because i run short of things to say and felt awkward, we were starting to get to know each other....and she must of thought id ignored her because i left it 2 days to try to reply to her last message?

anyway she must of blocked me because i got a message when i went to the inbox to reply to her just now saying ' please do not attempt to contact this user on similar worlds or on any other account etc'.

and i feel quite upset, as i should be, as i left it too long to get back to her message...i have been also quite busy too, so there's that.....but ive lost a potential friend i could of made online.....through my own fault of not replying sooner and she probably thought id ignored her.

any thoughts?

It's best it's done now. The two of you don't mesh well, and that's nobody's fault. She wants close and continuous contact, you want something free-form and intermittent, if at all. To block over it is a little drastic, imo, but it's nice to have a definitive end to something that was obviously not working for either of you. You'll forget all about it quicker than you think.

I would have been upset but I don't think I'd have blocked you for it.
Maybe try to get a message to her through someone else?
