Police Chase Ends At Someone’s Home In Oklahoma City After Crashing Into It…

Big damages too.

Our last police chase here was the officer being chased
Musicman · 61-69, M
I hope no one got hurt. ☹️
Howudoin · 41-45, M
Hmm, those are firefighters...
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Howudoin they were a half-mile down the road. The police are busy with situations and not all of them can leave quickly. Firefighters don’t have one call after another like the police do and the fire stations are scattered all over the city.

@cherokeepatti i recently had to ring them when a burst water pipe flooded the house out, covering the switch in the basement. They arrived in minutes and were fantastic. A mixture of water and electricity is very dangerous and they knew what to do.

@meggie I drove over to my daughter’s apartment 25 years ago to help her pack to move and to take her to work. We had a storm about an hour before and it was early on Saturday morning. There was a downed power line that I drove around on the one-block private street to the apartment. I called the fire department to report it, they told me I had to stay parked because it was dangerous to drive there. So I didn’t get to leave for about 3 hours until they got someone to take care of it.

Can you imagine someone crashing into your house?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nebula Almost happened when I was in my mid-20’s and lived at the corner of an intersection in a rural area. A car ran the 4-way stop and hit a truck and it ran over the chain link fence in the front yard and hit my car in the driveway. Came close to hitting the house. Had just gotten up because it was cold and got the baby and we laid down in the living room where the propane heat stove was….it was about 17 degrees. I woke up and heard the crash, a horn honking close to the living, our Doberman barking, the other driver yelling over and over “Does the dog bite?”, and a baby crying. The man who got hit had a baby in a car seat and the car seat flipped over and there was the baby with glass in his hair. He wasn’t hurt but was crying. Stinking blue smoke inside the vehicle. The father of the baby was slumped over the steering wheel making the horn honk. I got him to get out of the car and wait inside my house and I took the baby inside the house too. Called my neighbor, our landlord and she came over. The baby’s farmer was in a type of shock where he repeatedly got up out of the chair and would say loudly…”Where is the baby? Where is the baby?” And I’d tell him each time the baby was inside and I was watching him. The police came and called an ambulance and took them away. We laying down close to the front door when this happened. What a nightmare.

@cherokeepatti oh my God that's terrifying
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nebula It was in a rural area and some people drove like hell down the main road. The man who was in the truck stopped and this other man ran the 4-way stop and hit his truck pushing it into my yard and into my car. Oh yes the sounds, noise etc being woke up suddenly was like waking up into a nightmare for a while. My neighbors had called to report these drivers running the stop signs to the police and they didn’t take them seriously and a few days later this happened. They called back and this time the cops were there in the morning watching for violators.
TheOthetAcc · 36-40, M
Hope the driver was the only one hurt
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@TheOthetAcc there were people inside the house when it happened and they didn’t get injured. But boy what a mess, that’s major damage if you see if from street view.
Maybe he thought it was a drive-in. I hope no one was hurt.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@PhoenixPhail the police was chasing them. Two people got arrested as a result.
@cherokeepatti I'm glad they're being held accountable. They should be arrested.
