I’m looking for a simple disagreement

@Queendragonfly I read an article that said ketchup is one of the only foods that satisfy all five tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter and savoury. So I disagree

@Ghostinthemachine I read an article that said adults only like ketchup because of the sugar amounts they get addicted to from eating ketchup since they were toddlers. So agree to disagree too.

@Queendragonfly I agree that it’s possible to become addicted to it (I’ve seen kids put it on everything!)
When used as a complimentary condiment, for appropriate foods, as intended, it can be quite satisfying.
I’ve never overused ketchup and isn’t even always have it with my French fries. But what about the actually taste…do you like it?

@Ghostinthemachine I don't like the taste as it is no. However if I have nothing to add to my Bolognese dish when cooking it, I might use ketchup as a desperate last minute ingredient.

But on the plate, never

I have a pasta dish that uses ketchup instead of tomato sauce. People think it sounds gross…until they try it. It also has plenty of bacon and onions so…

It's less sugary than ketchup.

Yeah most people use it to fries or pasta. Just not my thing. I started hating ketchup as a toddler. 😂

@Queendragonfly people have told me having ketchup on French toast is weird.
I just checked, 1 tbspn of ketchup has 4 g of sugar…is that a lot?

Then I need to have a shot of ketchup every hour on the hour
