Is there Peace at the End

Just another nightmare
One that makes no sense.
Yet still..., Here I am awake, sweat covered, and shaking.
Another night without real sleep.

The years don't seem to lessen the pain.
All these moments coming and going without touching me.
All this sadness and anger...
Tainting whatever comes my way.

Life is a nightmare.
One I cannot escape by sleeping.
For only nightmares reside there.
Nights growing longer, and fitful.
Days dragging on.

Time passing.
Insanity amassing....
