How many tomorrows do any of us really have ?
I Remember Tomorrow
by: Rob Paquin
I remember a tomorrow
When the world would have been set right.
I remember a tomorrow
From within that sleepless night.
The calls to go unanswered
My thoughts all thrown askew
But I remember that tomorrow
As one I'd spend with you...
I remember it like yesterday
The joy within my soul
To have you coming home again
After having paid all of the tolls
I remember all the things I did
And how we all prepared
I remember how your sister smiled
Just knowing you'd be near
I remember a smile that ran so deep
It was my last real one
Because life had stole you from us
And never would you come.
I remember all the tears I cried
Even the ones from yesterday
That always seem to stain my eyes
When thoughts of you do come my way
I remember all my anger
That I still hold today
I remember all the pain I have
That I can't give away
I remember your sweet face my son
Adorned with your wry smile
I remember I must carry on
And miss you for awhile
I hope to be united
Beyond life's pearly gates
But I'm sure I'm bound for hell my son
For all my built up hate
Never to forget you
Never to relent
Never is my home now
And my soul is all but spent.......
The sun it set upon that eve
Of such a sweet tomorrow
Ne'er to rise for me again
As I drown inside my sorrow
